Hi, I'm Prasanth , from India.
I love programming and do it for passion. I would like to contribute to open source to solve real world problems. That's what made me involve into Google Summer of Code.
About my study
I'm a 3rd year undergraduate student, Computer Science.
My interests
Programming, especially related to web development. My Hobbies to participate in algorithmic contests, as Topcoder, Codeforces, Spoj...etc. To read code of open source projects, git. To Develop browser based games.
My non-Smalltalk experiences so far
Languages: C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript
I regularly participate in Contests using C, C++. I developed a Search Engine in Python. I use Java to develop Android Applications (learning). JavaScript to develop browser based games and to design websites, User Interface.
Also good at Jquery, Html5, CSS3.
My Smalltalk experiences so far
I never used Smalltalk, to build projects. I'm currently learning it and hope i'll start contributing, once i get the basics of the language.
Why am I interested in Smalltalk?
Smalltalk is good Object Oriented Programming language. It is as good as other OOP languages. SmallTalk can make WebDevelopment much easier and interesting, Learning Smalltalk is fun too. Simply, I loved it.
Will I stay with Smalltalk after the project is finished?
Definitely, I would like to contribute to Smalltalk as long as i learn it, and learning a programming language and be expert in that takes time :D
