Briefly about me
I'm a software developer and student from Argentina and I'm very obsessive about learning.
About my study
I'm studying Software Development at Universidad Nacional de Quilmes. I got my bachelor's degree last year.
My interests
Programming, GNU/Linux, open source, teaching OOP, music, electronics.
My non-Smalltalk experiences so far
I've been using Ruby for personal and work projects for the last 3 years. I also use Python, mostly for scripts; and Java for projects at university. Also I've played a little bit with Haskell, C, Javascript and Scala. Some of my projects are in my GitHub profile.
My Smalltalk experiences so far
I am a Pharo user since 2010, we use it to teach OOP at university. I developed a prototype of a BDD tool, which I presented in the Smalltalks 2011 conference. Now I'm using Smalltalk at work (a web application with Seaside, Pharo and Gemstone).
Why am I interested in Smalltalk?
Because a live object environment gives a lot of advantages (I think it is like our mind works). And I found in Smalltalk great communities to play, hack, teach/learn, share and much more.
Will I stay with Smalltalk after the project is finished?
Of course!! :-)
