Briefly about me
French 20 years old student, working on Pharo during my third year internship.
About my study
I've been studying Mathematics and Physics for two years in a prep school, then I entered third year computer sciences bachelor's. I do also study languages : Japanese, Hebrew, and so on.
My interests
I do love language learning and linguistics. Also like music, knitting, sewing and reading scientific literature (astrophysics..), and last but not least Coding.
My non-Smalltalk experiences so far
I do program C, Java, and Caml. I did a project in Caml. I also use PureData, a music oriented graphical programming tool.
My Smalltalk experiences so far
I'm in a 13 weeks internship in RMod team.
Why am I interested in Smalltalk?
At the beginning I was disappointed by the amount of possibilities, but it's very nice to change code on the run and to have a direct access to all the classes and all methods.
Will I stay with Smalltalk after the project is finished?
Of course. I'm a newbie in computer sciences and I do discover new things about VM and software engineering every day. And coding in Smalltalk doesn't give me the same feeling as programming in Java.
Will I work all summer long?
I go to ESSLLI (computational linguistic summer school) two weeks in August so I will work more in July.
