Briefly about me
I'm 23 years old, I am a dedicated and curious person. I love reading and playing music, as well as learning everything that I can, and spending time with friends.
About my study
I'm a 3rd year systems engineering student at National Technological University in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
My interests
I love programming, and I have discovered quite recently that I'm also interested in doing research activities.
I also like running, swimming and playing volleyball :)
My non-Smalltalk experiences so far
Development and design of distributed systems in C
Teaching and programming experience with Haskell, Prolog, Java.
Currently developing in Scala with Play Framework, Akka and MongoDB.
My Smalltalk experiences so far
Learnt Smalltalk using Pharo at university, and as assistant teacher, using Pharo to introduce students to OOP, and UI design in Morphic.
Development using VisualAge Smalltalk at IBM for two years.
I've also done little contributions to Pharo Project
Why am I interested in Smalltalk?
Because it a simple, powerful and beautiful language, which allows me as programmer to change it and adapt it to my needs, in a very simple, straight-forward manner.
Will I stay with Smalltalk after the project is finished?
Yes, of course. Maybe not making a living out of it, but clearly will keep on doing stuff in smalltalk :)
